Association of Manufacturers & Industries in Sangli Miraj MIDC Industrial Area

Sangli Miraj MIDC Manufacturers Association (SMMMA) is association of industries situated in Sangli Miraj MIDC Industrial Area, District Sangli.

Sangli Miraj MIDC Industrial Area is located in Southern Maharashtra, adjoining Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh & Goa States, in Western part of India.

Sangli Miraj MIDC Industrial Area was established in 1972, one of the oldest Industrial Area in Sangli District. The Industrialist in Sangli Miraj MIDC Industrial Area joined hands together & formed Sangli Miraj MIDC Manufacturers Association on 20th January 1983. The main motto was, to establish Common Communication Forum of Industries, to interact internally within members & put forward industries view points to different levels of Government & Key Regulatory Authority and press for pro-industry action. The SMMMA was formally registered under Charity Commissioner Reg.No-F-805/Sangli on 20/01/1983 & Society Reg.No- MAH-852-Sangli on 07/03/1983.

Due to efforts of founder members- Shri.J.S.Kante (First President), Shri.A.S.Bawane (First Vice President), Late.A.D.Deshpande (First Secretary), Shri.Pravin Shah, Shri.A.C.Patil, Shri.S.G.Taishetty, Shri.Deepak Shinde, and Shri.V.M.Bedekar - SMMMA built up the building complex of 747.60.sq.Mtr on Aminity Plot of 4061 Sq. Mtr. provided by MIDC in 1987.

At present in 2017, SMMMA is strong & united voice of at around 250 member industries-to be most Impartial, nonpolitical & representative industry body with high level of credibility with government & key policy makers.
